Necessary Bar Equipment

1. Shaker

The shaker is the most important and basic mixing tool that every bartender uses the most. Shaker functions are combine ingredients by shaking or mixing, chilling the drink with minimal dilution and straining. There are 4 types of shakers:

- (Paris)/French Shaker

- Tin Tin Shaker

- Boston Shaker

- Coobler Shaker

Personally, I use a Boston shaker, the advantage of which is that despite lowering the temperature, the glass does not close like metal parts (eg. Paris shaker) and opens easily. The advantage of this shaker is also the glass, which can be used to prepare mixed cocktails.

2. Strainer

Another essential tool for every bartender is the bartender strainer. The bar strainer is used to separate unnecessary ingredients (eg. Ice). Coming back to the shakers. If you have a Coobler shaker, you don't need to worry about the strainer as this shaker has an integrated strainer. The most popular bar strainers are:

- Hawthorne

- Julep

- Conical

3. Jigger

Jigger mean Precision and properly selected proportions of the ingredients of each cocktail. It is the most important aspect of the art of mixology. A jigger, or a bar measure, is an indispensable tool, thanks to which you can measure the right amounts of selected ingredients. The most common are two-side measuring cups with capacities: 20-40ml, 25-50ml, 30-60ml. As for the appearance. There are plenty of them and everyone will find something for themselves. Iam sure.

4. Bar Spoon

The bar spoon is a specialized spoon used in mixology to mix cocktails in a mixing glass. The bar spoon has a spiral design that allows you to create layered drinks. You can also use it as a measure for ingredients.

There are many types of bar spoons (eg. japanese, european, american etc.)

5. Fruit Squeezer

Freshly squeezed citrus juice is the perfect ingredient to make a delicious cocktail. This is small, handy tool that allows you to squeeze the juice of lemons or limes easily and quickly

6. Muddler

The Muddler is simple tool for smashing or crushing ingredients such as mint or citrus. Muddler can be made of various materials. The Bar spoon with a disc at its other end can also be used as a muddler. However, I think that it is not same as muddler.

7. Zester

Citrus zester is an essential element for elegant drink decorations. Citrus zester is an essential element for elegant drink decorations. Zester will be useful to obtain a skin (rubbed skin in the form of thin stripes). If you have a peeler, you can easily handle it. Enough for a start.

8. Bartending Tongs

You can use the tongs for ice. This will allow you to maintain hygiene at work. You can also use the tongs to help decorate your cocktails.

9. Mixing Glass

The mixing glass is intended for mixing cocktails before pouring them into the glass. The capacity of the glass varies. I would describe the minimum volume threshold as 500 ml. The mixing glass should have a groove to help precise pouring.

cocktail into glass.
