The cocktail seasoning: "Bitters". Angostura = Must have at your Home Bar.

Forgive me, but I cannot imagine the taste of oldfashioned or Manhattan without putting a dash of bitters there. These few drops or dash from a secret bottle make the taste change in itself but looking deeper, a whole palette of herbs opens up to you, bringing out the magic of the cocktail and your taste buds are going crazy. Attention: You must remember that a few drops too much and you destroy your cocktail from base spirit.

What is it?

Bitters are just strong mixtures of barks, roots, herbs and dried citrus which are diluted with alcohol to bring out the flavor and preserve them in the easiest way. In the 19th century, bitters could be bought in pharmacies, because they were used as a remedy for stomach ailments and not only. Now there are hundreds of producers making bitters inspired every imaginable flavor, but the Queen is only one: (Angostura). The Queen coming from Trinidad and Tobago and using highly guarded recipe. Angostura is the world's most widely available brand. You'll find it in any self-respecting bar and therefore, bitters stand in an honorable, visible place on the bar. It is your "must have".

Worth attention are also:

- Regan's orange bitters

- Bittermens Xocolat mole bitters

- Peychaud's Aromatic Bitters
